Attendance: Regular attendance in class is vital to progress
Tardiness: Students are expected to arrive & leave on time.
Observers: May sit in the lobby only. Please be courteous. No visitors allowed in the classroom area.
Absences: Call the studio if you are going to be absent. Make- up lessons are given for illness only. No refunds.
Dropped classes: You must supply the office with a 30 day written notice or fill out the add/drop form to officially drop a class and not be charged for the following month.
Food: *No food, gum or drinks are allowed in the lobby or class area. Water only in drinking containers. Students that are at the studio for multiple hours may eat outside or in an assigned table area.
Insurance: The studio does carry liability insurance on the student’s; however, in case of an accident, the studio is not responsible for the medical coverage.
Hair: All hair shoulder length or longer must be tied back and out of face. Ballet students should wear hair in a bun.
Holidays: We close for: Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas/ New Years break, President’s Day & Memorial Day. See the dance calendar for additional information.
Lobby/Studio etiquette- Students are asked to behave accordingly while in the lobby as there are usually classes going on. No playing in lobby or on the stairs.
Make-Up Classes: Offered for illness only. Absences due to conflicting schedules do not qualify for a make-up class. There are no refunds for missed classes or months.
Lost & Found: The Dance Affair is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please do not wear or bring valuables to dance class. This includes iPods, phones and other electronics.
Pick up: Parents are responsible for picking up students promptly after class is over. Children must not be left to wait in the lobby for any long period.
Teachers: Each teacher may add or expand on the policies for his/her class and may remove any student from class for failure to observe the policies.
