As we move into the Purple tier the dance affair will adjust our in studio classes to outdoors and on Zoom. We will keep you posted to when we can welcome students back to in-person classes here at the studio. Our staff has been working diligently to implement health procedures and guidelines based on the State of California for Health and Fitness (under which dance is classified) to be able to offer the safest environment for all. According to the Santa Clara County we are in complience with alll the current protocol for dance studios.

We are closely monitoring policy changes and public health organizations and will continue to make changes, as necessary. The plan below, coupled with personal responsibility, presents our best efforts to keep our dancers, families, and staff safe. (Updated As of 9/19/2020)

Flu-Like Symptoms

Any student, faculty, staff or parent that has flu-like symptoms, any symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 10 days, or has had any close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days, we ask that you please not attend class or enter the studio.

Face Coverings

All faculty, staff and dancers are required to wear a face covering or mask when entering and exiting the studio. When actively dancing, students and teachers are required to leave masks on.

Temperature Checks

Faculty and staff will receive temperature checks every day.

Limiting Dancer Capacity

Per the State of California Guidelines, our class size limits will be set by allowing for at least 6 feet of distance between students at all times. Each student will have an assigned spot on the floor and at the barre which will help to give dancers the optimal amount of space to continue practicing social distancing.

Dancer Belongings

Please arrive dressed and ready for class, each dancer will have a designated area for their belongings. NO WATER BOTTLES

Studio Cleanliness & Sanitization

Following the CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting, each studio will be cleaned and dance equipment and props will be disinfected between each use. Staff will frequently clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces (e.g., door handles) common areas (e.g., restroom rooms, waiting rooms), and equipment at a minimum every 2 hours while the facility is open and in operation. All cleaning materials are EPA-approved disinfectants against COVID-19 per CDC guidelines.

Hand Cleaning & Washing

Hand sanitizer stations are at the studio entrance and inside each studio. You will be required to cleanse your hands upon arrival.  All faculty, staff and dancers should wash their hands regularly. The CDC recommends this as one of the best practices to avoid transmission of the virus.

To minimize usage, we encourage dancers to use the restroom prior to class at home. We will have one designated restroom per studio to be used in case of emergency only.

Zoom Online Classes

We are committed to offering dance education and fitness to our students in a variety of ways to meet the health, safety and individual needs of the time. We will continue to offer online dance classes in addition to the more limited in-person classes to accommodate the demand for remote instruction. Please see our schedule for details or contact us for more information. You will recieve a zoom link to your class upon registration.

Online Registration & Reserving Spots in Classes

Please register for your class online. Size limits will be based on guidelines above. The Dance Affair accepts credit cards and contactless forms of payment via our online registration portal. We will provide a zoom link for all classes upon registration.
