Dance Classes in San Jose

Our current tuition rates are below. Tuition is due monthly on the 1st. Our class tuition rates are based on the amount of time your child is in class each week. Private lessons are billed separately. There is an annual registration fee of $60/ family.

A proper dress code keeps our dancers safe and promotes teamwork among our students. 

All students should have their hair pulled off their faces. A bun is required for ballet classes. Please leave all jewelry at home. All dress code items can be ordered at our front desk.

Mini Sparklers | Pink ballet shoes, pink leotard (skirt optional), pink tights

Our Stars classes perform at a December holiday show. All classes perform at the June recital. Lights, costumes, and a theater bring these productions to life. Students get valuable performance opportunities while making lifelong memories with their dance friends!

Classes for students under 10 are divided by age. For dancers 10+, both age and dance experience determine the best level for your child. If your dancer has previous experience, we recommend scheduling a trial. This is the best way to see if a given level is a good fit for your dancer. 

Current dancers are evaluated at the end of each dance year and given class recommendations for the upcoming season.

2025 POLICY AND PAYMENT AGREEMENT

Policies

• The Dance Affair is not liable for injury incurred during dance or acro classes.
• There is an initial $60 non-refundable Annual Registration Fee for each new student.
• Monthly tuition is always the same amount from September to June regardless of the number of classes in the month.  Our goal is to offer a minimum of 38 classes per year.
• Each student’s account will be charged the full month's tuition.  If you plan to drop a class, a 30-day cancellation notice and form must be completed and returned to the office.  Otherwise, your account will continue to be charged.  Forms are available in the office.
• Tuition is due on the 1st day of each month and considered late if not paid by the 5th.  Payments not received by the 3rd become delinquent and are subject to a $10 late fee.  Late fees will be charged each month until past due accounts are cleared.  Unpaid balances may result in not being able to attend classes or participate in community events and recital.
• A fee of $36 will be charged for all returned checks.
• No tuition refunds or credits given unless the class is canceled by Dance Affair.
• Make-up Lessons are given for emergencies and/or illness.
