The Dance Affair offers an arts-based preschool in San Jose for children ages 3-5. Established in 1986, Preschool of The Arts meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am - 12 p.m. This thriving program has inspired generations of creative kids in the Bay Area!
The Preschool of the Arts curriculum perfectly blends play-based learning and academic readiness. Our students get kindergarten-ready while getting exposure to the fine arts.

Your Child’s Day at Preschool of the Arts
Every day at Preschool of the Arts is a chance for your child to learn something new, gain valuable social skills, and be creative.
At arrival, children will greet their teachers and enjoy some unstructured playtime. They will practice taking turns, communicating with their peers, and growing more independent.
Most days at preschool include short, structured lessons in dance, music, art, and tumbling. In addition to getting exposure to the fine arts, our preschool students learn how to follow simple instructions and develop their social skills.
Our intimate program gives children endless opportunities for connection and individual attention.
Parents can expect big smiles at pick-up. Your child will leave preschool excited to return!

Registering for Preschool of the Arts is simple and convenient. The first step is to contact the Dance Affair. Let us know that you are interested in preschool, tell us a little about your child, and ask any questions you may have.
We are happy to arrange a visit if you’d like to see our program in action.
If Preschool of the Arts is a good fit for your family, it’s time to register! Our team will send you the registration form. Your registration form and first month’s tuition are required to secure your child’s spot. We will continue to accept registrations throughout the year as space permits.
